The Sparrow's Nest is a seasonal children’s consignment sale hosted by Ringgold United Methodist Church. We also partner with other local churches and individuals in order to truly minister to the community. This is a great place to find affordable gently used children’s clothing, toys, games, books, baby equipment, furniture and more.
 
 
Fall Sale Dates
 
Friday, September 17th   
9am to 7pm
 
Saturday, September 18th   
9am to 1pm
 
 
Shopping Information:
 
The main entrance to the sale is located adjacent to the main church parking lot off of Hwy. 41/Nashville Street. A stroller and wheelchair accessible entrance is located off of Sparks Street. Both entrance doors will be opened to the public at 9:00 am. 
 
First-time moms, please email us to receive a ticket to our 6:00 Preview Sale on Thursday evening. We are excited to provide you a vast selection of things you will need at super affordable prices. 
 
If you are a seller attending the Preview Sale and would like to invite a first time guest, please have your guest contact us. First time guests are eligible to enter the Preview Sale at 6:00.
 
 
Register to Sell:
Registration for the fall sale is open now through September 10th. You can register online by clicking below. There is an $8 registration fee that will be deducted from your total sale earnings. If you volunteer for 4 hours during the week of the sale, the registration fee is waived and you are also able to enter the Preview Sale early—at 5:00 instead of 6:00.
 
Dropping Off Items:
Sellers will bring their items to the gym/large fellowship hall of the church at assigned drop-off times. Early registration can benefit your schedule since a maximum of three sellers can sign up for each quarter hour time-slot. Drop-off times are as follows:
Monday, September 13th        9:00 – 11:00 am       5:00 – 8:00 pm
Tuesday, September 14th        9:00 – 11:00 am       5:00 – 8:00 pm
Use the Sparks Street entrance for drop-off. Even with assigned times, you may have to wait for a moment before we are able to inspect your items. Do not bring items and leave without checking them in with a committee member. Make sure you allow yourself time to place your items in appropriate areas after they are inspected. 
 
Accepted Items:
We will accept high-quality Fall and Winter clothing items for this sale. (For example: long-sleeved shirts, sweaters, jeans, coats, Halloween Costumes, pajamas, boots & shoes, dance outfits and school uniforms.) We will accept infant sizes through boys and girls junior size 16. Maternity clothing for all seasons will be accepted. Please check your items for stains, tears, broken or missing buttons, buckles or snaps; consider that you would not want to purchase these items when you are shopping for your children. We welcome books, DVDs, VHS videos, toys, board games, puzzles, sports equipment, game systems & games for children/youth, child-themed tableware, nursing equipment, indoor/outdoor play equipment, etc. We will not accept any toys that are identified as dangerous to children.  Any accepted items are subject to removal from the sale if they are later identified as dangerous. Please check here for recent recalls prior to tagging questionable items. 
 
 
Seller Information:
All sellers retain 70% of the sale price. The remaining proceeds will be distributed to individuals and families in need within our community. This sale is not for profit and does not benefit church programs, but simply attempts to meet local needs. 
 
A preview sale will be held on Thursday, September 16th for all sellers, volunteers and special guests. The preview sale will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with varying entry times depending on your level of involvement. You must get a ticket when you drop off your items in order to attend this preview.
